Day 16.
3 meals a day.
This is a shout out to all full-time Moms and Housewives out there. And those ones with multiple kids, RESPECT.
2 weeks in the lockdown with a husband and a 6-month-old furbaby, I am officially a full-time housewife.
I do work from home, but with only 80% of working hour lockdown allowance, I only need to work about 5 hours a day. And E always says, comparing to his, my work looks like playing. That’s what you’ve got with a graphic designer/ illustrator.
So I begin to prepare a 3 meals and 2 snacks a day.
Cooking takes time and effort. You spent the whole morning just for a lunch that finished in less than 15 minutes. And then dishes. Repeat for dinner.
I don’t mind cooking, I enjoy cooking. Especially if you compare it to house chores. But, I love it when I only need to cook when I want to. I hate being forced. That’s why I usually refuse to cook and nag to eat out at the weekend. Can’t do it now though.
I never wanted to be a full time Mom or Housewife at the first place. I always pictured my future self as anything but a full-time Mom.
I was lucky my work is not that stressful and I can still get around with it. But I can’t imagine how can people with kids, or multiple kids (and pets!) manage to do it while working from home.
You guys are incredible.
